Scotiabank Community Program
Scotiabank helps children ring-in a new school year
Fun and laughter filled the air as Scotiabank employees hosted a grand extravaganza to help children from across the island usher in the new school year. One hundred deserving students were chosen from schools island-wide to be a part of this annual Scotiabank event, which took place at the Cecil Roberts Ground on the Frigate Bay Road.
The children were treated to an afternoon of food and games and each child was given a Scotiabank knapsack filled with school supplies. Mrs. Lillian Fleming, the Assistant Manager Sales and Support, was quoted as saying, “These children are the future of our wonderful country and we at Scotiabank are dedicated to doing everything we can to ensure that they have a good education. Giving back to the community is one of the core values of Scotiabank.”
Scotiabank will also open savings accounts for any of the children who are interested and make the initial deposit for them. In keeping with our focus on children, Scotiabank’s Country Manager, Mr. Dimitrios Adamopoulos, will be donating three computers to schools on the island on behalf of the Bank.
